Barnehage – det burde vært hemmelig kvalitetskontroll

Lille skal gå i barnehage om ett år, og i den forbindelse ville jeg undersøke barnehager rundt oss.

Vi bor i Oslo og jeg fant et oversikt over barnehager i vår bydel på kommunens sin nettside. Jeg viste ikke at det gjennomføres foreldreundersøkelse hvor foreldre svarer på hvor tilfredstilt de er med barnehagen barn går i. Opplysninger om dette er veldig fint presentert på egen nettside –  Barnehagefakta.

Ut ifra beliggenhet og «tilfredstilhet» har jeg valgt barnehager som kan vært aktuelle.

I tillegg til nærmiljø, uteareal og lærerne har vi to punkter som vi sjekket i barnehagene:

1 At det er fokus på norsk, siden jeg prater med Anna kun på russisk, så vi er veldig opptatt at det læres norsk i barnehagen

2 Ut fra helsemessige, økonomiske og generelle årsaker vil vi at lille slutter med bleier så fort som mulig – så her er det viktig at barnehagen samarbeider om dette (i Russland slutter barn med bleier veldig tidlig i forhold til Norge).

Etter besøk av flere barnehager og samtale med lærerne fant vi barnehagene vi ønsker å søke plass i. Vi håper virkelig at det blir mulig å få plass der, med tanke på at 2018 er babybom-år.

Men etter besøket ville jeg dele hva jeg fikk høre fra barnehage-ansatte som ga meg litt sjokk (eksempler på hvorfor vil jeg ikke å søke der):

– En ansatt møtte meg ganske agressivt: «Hva gjør du her?». Med forklaring at jeg vil se på barnehagen siden vi skal søke plass, fikk ikke en mindre agressivt reaksjon: «Hvorfor vil du se? og «Hva skal du se?». Jeg følte meg ikke velkommen der…

– Spørsmål om tilvenning til do fikk jeg svar «Alt kan skje», dvs. bleier forever…

– Det verste jeg hørte: «De fleste barn kan ikke norsk her. Vi lærer ikke norsk, de er jo små og lærer ikke språk før de starter i gruppa for større barn…»  o__O

 

Kanskje kommunen skal innføre hemmelig kontroll a-la mystery forelder?

Nå er det noe måneder med venting på svar fra kommunen,  vi satser på det beste.

    I barnehagen vår (også med endel fremmedspråklige barn), er det mye fokus på språk. Allerede fra første året i barnehagen har de stort fokus på leseglede, det leses bøker over en lav sko og man bruker naturen til å lære ord og begreper.
    Det kan være ett triks å se etter om barnehagen har ett samarbeid med Deichmanske som kalles «Lesefrø». Veldig bra opplegg!
    Hos oss brukes Lesefrø både til å låne med bøker hjem, men mest til å lese sammen med barna. De har lesestunder for alle aldersgrupper i små og store grupper flere ganger om dagen og barna elsker det.
    Når hun et par år eldre kan lydbøker være en veldig fin greie. Det finnes masse lydbøker for barn på Spotify, evt Storytel. Vi bruker det i bilen på tur, på rommet om kvelden og lignende.
    …men det med bleier tror jeg det er få barnehager som hjelper til med. Iris sluttet med bleier iløpet av ett par uker om sommeren, sommeren er fin til hjelp for da er det lite klær og de ser fort verdien av å slippe bleia, men litt gris blir det jo 🙂

    Det er veldig bra med fokus på språk! Barnehagene jeg likte har veldig mye fokus på norsk, de leser bøker i sammen og har spesial pedagog.

    Samtidig var jeg sjokkert når ansatt (utenlandsk opprinnelse) i gruppen med 90 % barn av utenlandsk opprinnelse sier til meg at de lærer ikke norsk der før de er 4. Jeg trodde hun tuller, men jeg så hvordan de kommuniserte med barn mens jeg var der – det var minimalt norsk slik «ikke gjør det» eller «ta det».

    Vi har en fantastisk Deichmanske her og jeg ser for meg at det blir en av favoritt stedene fremover 🙂 «på besøk hos eventyr» 🙂
